The KII Meter is a device the Spectral Solutions team frequently uses while investigating. The theory is that when a spirit is trying to manifest, it will disrupt the earth’s magnetic field causing it to set off the KII. The KII meter is able to detect Electro Magnetic Fields and Frequencies.

The team uses it to hopefully communicate with any Spirits or Entity that is currently around. When the Spectral Solutions team conducts a KII Session the device is explained to any of the possible spirits that maybe lurking around. Spectral Solutions looks for jumps in the device lights that are not in a specific pattern. We look for the lights to respond to our questions, which would make the experiences more credible. If we are able to capture an EVP to coincide with our KII experience it makes for some great evidence and would help support our theory.

The KII meter is newly used in the field, and there are some negative aspects about it. The major negative about the device is that the older models do not have a proper on/off switch. This would mean you would actually physically have to hold down the on switch which could make for a long and tiring session. The simple remedy of this, is we place a coin in the device, which keeps the button depressed and allows the device to be placed somewhere without a member holding onto it. Also the KII meter picks up frequencies, which can be set off by cell phones or walkies. To ensure there is no contamination, the team leaves all cell phones at command central while investigating and walkies are left in a different area of the location but still able to be heard by the ear. One way to tell if it is something natural or supernatural is the pattern on how the lights light up. If the lights are constantly lit up it is very plausible that it is something natural and can be explained, however, if the 1 light that is constantly lit fluctuates to different levels there is more reason to believe it is something of the paranormal kind.
